Gerard Butler Slammed Wolverine's Sabretooth Scoop
Movie

The actor said he hasn't even met anyone and seen a script for the superhero project.

Looks like fans of "X-Men" series have to wait longer to find out who will play Sabretooth in the upcoming "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." Giving a response to the recent rumor on his involvement in the project, Scottish actor Gerard Butler has denied that he is approached for the role during a Los Angeles press day for his latest vehicle "P.S., I Love You."

"It’s not true," the "300" star stated to MoviesOnline. "I haven’t even met on it, I haven’t spoken to anybody and I haven’t seen a script. And I think I’m working when it’s going on, so it’s not –"

Though so, Butler seems to be open to any possibilities of him being up for the movie, saying he'd "be interested in anything up" until he reads a script when getting asked if he would be interested in doing it, should an offer is made.

Set to be helmed by Gavin Hood, "Wolverine" is said to explore the titular character's early life and his involvement with the mysterious Weapon X program. Hugh Jackman once again is billed to play the adamantium-clawed superhero with shooting to start in January 2008 at Fox Studios in Sydney, Australia for a scheduled May 1, 2009 release date.
