The troubled singer has just announced he's going to make acting debut in a US TV comedy show "Ellie Stone," alongside English actor Jonny Lee Miller.

"There's an American tour planned and I'm starring in a big US comedy drama called Ellie Stone with Jonny Lee Miller. The writers want to name each episode after my songs," Michael was quoted as saying.

Feels confident that the new TV show could help him gets his life back on track, Michael said, "I'm going to have the most phenomenal year - even though there are people who'd like me to experience a tough time."

Michael, famous for his hit single "Careless Whisper," pleaded guilty on Tuesday May 8th, to driving while unfit due to drug use. Police found him slumped at the wheel of his car in London in October 2006.
