Cuba Gooding Jr. and Ray Liotta are joining forces to topline Millennium Films' new big screen project "Hero Wanted."

AceShowbiz -

Set to work as solid onscreen team, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Ray Liotta have both given agreement to star together in indie movie "Hero Wanted", The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Marking the feature directorial debut of Brian Smrz, the project concerns a garbage collector who stages a bank robbery so he can be the hero and stop it in order to impress a female employee there. Production is scheduled to begin next month in Bulgaria under Millennium Films banner.

Gooding Jr., an Oscar-winning actor for his role in "Jerry Maguire" (1996), currently can be seen on the big screen playing the fiance of Thandie Newton's character in larger-than-life comedy "Norbit" while Liotta in Disney's road movie "Wild Hogs."
