Irish rock band U2 would never stop creating music work. Fresh from their collaboration with Green Day on a cover version of The Skids' "The Saints Are Coming", they will in the near future release a definitive greatest hits compilation.

It has just been confirmed by the band itself that they will release "Best of" by November 17th. The set, according to the band's Web site (https://www.u2.com), will feature U2's Hurricane Katrina charity collaboration with Green Day, "The Saints Are Coming," as well as a brand new song, plus "16 of the band's best-known songs".

As for the as-yet untitled new song, U2 recorded it with producer Rick Rubin during their recent sessions at Abbey Road studios. Meanwhile, "The Saints are Coming" is set to be released as a digital download on October 30th and as a CD single on November 6th, with proceeds going to The Edge's Music Rising charity, an initiative which helps musicians affected by Hurricane Katrina.
