A new album will come out from the hands of Ludacris. The rapper has set a September 26 date to release his fifth solo album, titled "Release Therapy", the follow-up to 2004's "The Red Light District" which has sold 2 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Prior to this, a single from the record entitled "Money Maker" featuring Pharrell Williams has already arrived at U.S. radio outlets on July 17.

Revealing that he envisions the LP as giving listeners "their temporary fix or release for the day", the rapper also reassures that the witty, animated style and bouncy, Southern-fried tracks that took him to the forefront of the "Dirty South" hip-hop movement can still be found in the album. "Release" itself has been confirmed to contain 15 tracks and features renowned music artists like Mary J. Blige, R. Kelly, Field Mob, and Young Jeezy apart from Williams.

What comes as a surprise in the anticipation of this album is that the Illinois native turns out to have cut his braids which have been one of his trademarks ever since he developed his musical career. "The haircut is partly because I've had braids for 10 years and done every braid style two and three times over," so he said with a laugh during a recent interview. "But it's also part of my evolution, the whole idea of release therapy. The entire album is therapeutic to me and hopefully to whoever listens to it."
