At least three capable actresses are competing to get the role of Jeannie in the upcoming movie adaptation of TV series "I Dream of Jeannie." They are Jennifer Garner, Kate Hudson and Lindsay Lohan. The three of them will try their best to win the role in the comedy fantasy to be directed by Gurinder Chada.
To your notice, Keira Knightley and Jessica Simpson were among the favorites to land the role. Unfortunately, they didn't make it.
As of the film, it is a remake from the classic 60s sitcom tells the story of astronaut Major Anthony Nelson who discovers a mysterious bottle containing a beautiful female genie when his spacecraft makes an emergency landing on a desert island. Eager to have him as her new master, she stows herself away and is taken back to Florida, where she causes Nelson all sorts of trouble in various comic dilemmas.
