AceShowbiz -

What an unfortunate for a musician that he or she has to reluctantly halt the release of an album after being caught in a scandal. However, worse thing happens to rapper Gucci Mane.

Just days before the release of his debut album titled "Trap House," Mene is put in jail, facing a murder charge. The rapper, whose real name is Radric Davis, is accused of the May 10 shooting death of Henry Clark whose body was found in woods near a middle school. The album is actually scheduled to be released Tuesday May 24th, 2005. Yet, a publicist for Atlanta-based Big Cat Records has not yet giving comment on it.

Mane's attorney Dennis Scheib, in defense, said his client was at a home on May 10 with a woman and a male friend when suddenly five men came into the house and attacked them. Mane grabbed a gun on a table and traded fire with one of the attackers in self-defense. And so the men fled and Mene didn't realize that any were injured. Further Dennis claimed Mene did not know the attackers but believed they were associated with rival rapper Young Jeezy.
