In the unsettling sci-fi thriller "Vivarium," directed by Lorcan Finnegan, a young couple, Gemma ( Imogen Poots) and Tom ( Jesse Eisenberg), find themselves trapped in a nightmarish suburban labyrinth. Seeking to buy their first home, they are lured by a peculiar real estate agent ( Jonathan Aris) to a pristine, eerily identical housing development called Yonder. Once inside, they discover they cannot leave, trapped in a maze of identical, pastel-colored houses under a perpetual, overcast sky. Their desperate attempts to escape are thwarted by the unnatural geometry of the neighborhood, which seems to shift and reset around them. The central conflict escalates when a mysterious box is delivered to their doorstep, containing a baby that they are compelled to raise. As they are forced into a grotesque parody of domestic life, their sanity and relationship are systematically dismantled. With a suffocating atmosphere of existential dread, "Vivarium" is a chilling allegory about conformity, consumerism, and the terrifying entrapment of suburban expectations.
