Star Trek
The greatest adventure of all time begins with "Star Trek," the incredible story of a young crew's maiden voyage onboard...
In this delightfully absurd comedy from director Christian Wege, a man’s mundane life is turned upside down when he discovers an unexpected and unwelcome roommate in his apartment. The film follows a beleaguered everyman, played by Sheridan Crow, whose already stressful existence is pushed to its breaking point by the sudden appearance of a single, persistent cockroach. This is no ordinary pest, however, as the roach seems to possess an uncanny intelligence and a knack for psychological warfare, turning the man’s home into a chaotic battleground. Driven by sheer desperation and a need to reclaim his sanctuary, he devises increasingly elaborate and outlandish traps to capture the insect, each scheme backfiring with hilarious and humiliating consequences. Adding to his woes is the skeptical and unsympathetic perspective of his friend, portrayed by Rebecca Henry, who believes he is simply losing his mind. Blending slapstick physical comedy with a subtle undercurrent of existential dread, ROACH! is a tightly-wound, 12-minute sprint of escalating paranoia and absurdity that questions who the true intruder really is.
