In this absurdist comedy, director Nye Buckland also stars as a hapless documentarian embarking on the most ill-conceived project of his career: a retrospective on the forgotten life of Jimbuli Gording, a man whose sole claim to fame was a bizarre, failed mission to redefine human connection. Joined by his eccentric and perpetually skeptical producer Obleck F'Tang, the filmmaker drags an increasingly bewildered crew—including the deadpan Jack Burns, the overly enthusiastic Brandon Smith, and the perpetually confused John Curtis—through a series of dead-end interviews and nonsensical reenactments. As the team, which also features Joe Lawson, Charlie Proudfoot, Oscar "Spoon" O'Neil, Stanislaw Ryszko, and Barney Powell, digs deeper, they find only more questions and increasingly ridiculous anecdotes. The central conflict emerges not from Gording's lost story, but from the crew's struggle to find any meaning in their quest at all. With a tone that careens from mockumentary earnestness to slapstick chaos, the film becomes a hilarious, introspective spiral into the nature of memory, purpose, and the utter futility of a mission for intercourse.
