When elderly matriarch Edna goes missing from her decaying, labyrinthine family home, her daughter Kay (Emily Mortimer) and granddaughter Sam (Bella Heathcote) rush to the isolated property to search for her. Edna’s sudden, disoriented return offers little relief, as she is plagued by a mysterious illness and disturbing lapses in memory. As a strange, mold-like blemish begins to spread through the walls of the house, Kay and Sam are forced to confront not only the terrifying physical deterioration of their loved one, but also the haunting emotional relics of their own fraught family history.
