In a world where reality and paranoia blur, Radio Free Albemuth presents a gripping sci-fi drama that explores the unsettling power of hidden truths. Set in an alternate 1980s America under a fascist regime, the story follows Nick Brady, a struggling record store clerk played by Jonathan Scarfe, who begins receiving mysterious transmissions from a benevolent alien intelligence. These visions reveal a sinister conspiracy orchestrated by the government to control the population through a surveillance state, forcing Nick to confront a dangerous mission. Alongside his friend Phil, portrayed by Shea Whigham, a disillusioned science fiction writer, Nick becomes a reluctant messenger for the resistance. As his wife Rachel, played by Katheryn Winnick, and enigmatic ally Sylvia, portrayed by Alanis Morissette, join the cause, the group must navigate betrayal and fear to expose the truth. Directed by John Alan Simon, the film maintains a tense, atmospheric tone, blending philosophical questions with visceral suspense. Ashley Greene and Scott Wilson deliver compelling performances in this thought-provoking adaptation of Philip K. Dick's novel, keeping viewers on edge until the final frame.
