The terror that began in a quarantined apartment building now takes to the skies in this claustrophobic horror thriller directed by John Pogue. When a passenger on a red-eye flight from Los Angeles becomes violently ill with a mysterious, rabies-like virus, the plane is forced to make an emergency landing at a remote regional airport. Among the terrified travelers is flight attendant Jenny (played by Mercedes Masohn), who must keep her cool as the infection spreads rapidly through the confined cabin and into the terminal itself. As the CDC seals off the facility, trapping passengers and crew inside with no way out, a small group of survivors, including a resourceful passenger (played by Josh Cooke), must fight to stay alive against both the ravenous infected and the terrifying truth about the origin of the outbreak. With its relentless pace and visceral scares, this found-footage-style sequel ratchets up the tension by moving the horror from a single building to an entire airport, creating a trapped, panicked atmosphere where no one is safe.
