Any Day Now
Inspired by a true story from the late 1970s and touching on legal and social issues that are as relevant today as they ...
In a dystopian future where a vast underground network connects all of Europe, the unassuming Roger (voiced by Vincent Gallo) discovers that his thoughts are being hijacked by a sinister corporate entity called Metropia. As a meek man trapped in a mundane life, he begins hearing a mysterious voice in his head, which leads him to unravel a chilling conspiracy involving a mind-controlling shampoo and the omnipresent surveillance of the Trexx corporation. Teaming up with the enigmatic Nina (voiced by Juliette Lewis), Roger must navigate a bleak, monochromatic world of sprawling subway lines and shadowy operatives to reclaim his own consciousness. Directed by Tarik Saleh, this visually striking animated sci-fi thriller blends existential dread with noir aesthetics, featuring a haunting score and a voice cast including Stellan Skarsgard and Alexander Skarsgard. As paranoia mounts and reality blurs, Roger faces an urgent question: can he break free from a system designed to control every thought, or will his mind become just another station on the Metropia line?
