In the claustrophobic thriller Killing Room, The, four strangers are locked in a sterile, windowless room as part of a secret government psychological experiment. Among them are the cynical but sharp-witted Kerry (played by Chloe Sevigny), the anxious and quiet Tony (portrayed by Nick Cannon), the guarded and weary Paul (brought to life by Timothy Hutton), and the volatile ex-convict Crawford (played by Shea Whigham). They soon discover that the study, overseen by the coldly clinical Dr. Phillips (Peter Stormare) and the mysterious Reilly (Clea DuVall), is not merely a test of character but a deadly game of manipulation. As an unseen authority forces them into a series of increasingly brutal and morally compromising scenarios, trust erodes and paranoia takes hold. Directed by Jonathan Liebesman, this taut, R-rated drama explores the dark recesses of human nature under extreme pressure, raising unsettling questions about authority, obedience, and the lengths people will go to survive. The stark, minimalist setting amplifies the psychological tension, making every whispered conversation and sudden outburst feel like a matter of life and death.
