Synopsis

"Girl Flu" focuses on Bird (Pettyjohn), a 12-year-old in crisis. After moving from the San Fernando Valley to Echo Park, the young girl experiences the worst week of her life as she: gets her first period; and is abandoned by her immature and stoner mother (Sackhoff) while learning she will never be able to go back home to the Valley.
