Annie
A Broadway classic that has delighted audiences for generations comes to the big screen with a new, contemporary vision ...
In this delightfully absurd comedy, the bumbling Detective Alan and his overly enthusiastic partner Toddson are called to investigate the most confounding case of their careers when a priceless artifact vanishes from a locked room under impossible circumstances. Directed by Chrysan Martin, the film follows the mismatched duo as they stumble through a series of increasingly ridiculous clues, leaving a trail of chaos in their wake. Detective Alan, played by Tobin Davis, is a weary, by-the-book investigator who prefers logic and procedure, while Toddson, portrayed by Dylan Rowan, is a wild-eyed optimist who believes every bizarre theory that crosses his mind. Their dynamic is further complicated by a colorful cast of suspects, including a mysterious heiress ( Katana Delisle ) and a nervous museum curator ( Noah Lefley-Laurent ), each with their own secrets to hide. As the duo’s investigation spirals into slapstick mishaps and mistaken identities, they must somehow sift through the absurdity to uncover the truth before the case is declared unsolvable. This fast-paced, eight-minute romp delivers a perfect blend of witty dialogue and physical comedy, promising laughs until the very last frame.
