In the isolated farming community of Gatlin, Nebraska, a terrifying new faith has taken root among the youngest generation. Based on the chilling short story by Stephen King, this horror film follows a young couple, played by Kandyse McClure and David Anders, who stumble into the seemingly deserted town. They soon discover a grim reality: the children, led by the fervent Isaac (Preston Bailey) and his enforcer Malachai (Daniel Newman), have murdered every adult under the command of a malevolent entity they worship in the surrounding cornfields. As the couple is hunted by the fanatical youth, including the zealous young Ruth (Isabelle Fuhrman), they must unravel the dark secret of the corn to survive. Directed by Donald P. Borchers, the film cultivates an atmosphere of creeping dread and rural gothic horror, where innocence is perverted and the fields whisper with a deadly, ancient hunger.
