What begins as an extreme adventure tour quickly descends into a desperate fight for survival in this chilling horror film from writer Oren Peli. A group of young tourists, including brothers Jesse McCartney and Jonathan Sadowski, along with their friends Olivia Dudley and Nathan Phillips, are persuaded by a charismatic guide to explore the abandoned city of Pripyat, left frozen in time after the Chernobyl disaster. Seeking a thrill beyond typical sightseeing, they venture into the eerie, decaying ruins, unaware that they are not alone in the silent streets. The group soon finds themselves stranded in the radioactive ghost town, where unnatural sounds and unsettling movements suggest they are being hunted by the area’s twisted inhabitants. As night falls and their situation grows increasingly dire, the tourists must confront the terrifying legacy of the catastrophe, where the true horror may not be the contamination they feared, but the mutated beings that now call the exclusion zone home. Directed by Brad Parker, the film masterfully builds a suffocating atmosphere of dread, transforming a real-world tragedy into a landscape of primal fear.
