In this quirky drama-romance adventure directed by Gregory Mackenzie, a young woman named Camille Foster, played by Sienna Miller, is preparing for her wedding to the awkward but devoted Silas Parker, portrayed by James Franco. However, their plans take an unexpected turn when the couple sets off for a honeymoon at Niagara Falls, only for Camille to die in a motorcycle accident. Rather than abandoning their trip, Silas, in a state of denial, decides to bring her body along, leading to a bizarre and darkly comedic road trip across the American landscape. As they journey through the wilds, with Camille’s spirit seemingly lingering, Silas must confront his own delusions and the reality of their relationship. Along the way, they encounter a cast of eccentric characters, including a grizzled sheriff played by Scott Glenn and a mysterious figure portrayed by the late David Carradine. Blending elements of romance, tragedy, and surreal humor, the film explores themes of love, loss, and the lengths one will go to hold onto a dream. With a tone that shifts from heartfelt to whimsical, Camille offers a unique and poignant take on the classic road movie formula.
