Synopsis

A period pic about the construction of the famous span that links Brooklyn to Manhattan. Washington Roebling is the civil engineer, son of the bridge's original architect, John A. Roebling. When the younger Roebling is left to oversee the project, his obsession threatens his health and his family until he discovers he has an improbable ally in his charming and shrewd wife Emily.
