In her directorial debut, Quinn Shephard crafts a gripping psychological drama set in the aftermath of a high school scandal. The story centers on Abigail, a quiet and intelligent outsider who returns to her suburban New Jersey high school after a mysterious absence. She soon becomes entangled with a group of popular students, including the charismatic but troubled David, played by Chris Messina, and the manipulative Melissa, portrayed by Nadia Alexander. As Abigail navigates the treacherous social landscape, she is drawn into a dangerous game of seduction and revenge that blurs the lines between victim and perpetrator. The film explores themes of guilt, manipulation, and the corrosive nature of secrets, all set against the claustrophobic atmosphere of a small town. With a sharp script and powerful performances from the ensemble cast, including Tate Donovan and Trieste Kelly Dunn, the movie keeps viewers on edge, questioning who is truly to blame as the tension escalates toward an unsettling climax.
