In the comedy "3, 2, 1... Frankie Go Boom", Charlie Hunnam stars as Frankie, a man whose life has been a relentless series of embarrassments, all captured on film by his well-meaning but destructive brother Bruce, played by Chris O'Dowd. Desperate to escape his brother’s viral video legacy, Frankie retreats to a remote desert cabin to write a novel, only to have his solitude shattered when Bruce unexpectedly arrives with his new girlfriend, a transgender woman named Lassie, portrayed by Whitney Cummings. Frankie’s hopes for a quiet life are further complicated by the arrival of his eccentric mother, played by Nora Dunn, and a mysterious stranger named Jack, a role filled by Ron Perlman, who has a dangerous past with Lassie. As old wounds and new secrets surface, the brothers must navigate a chaotic weekend of blackmail, family dysfunction, and explosive confrontations. Directed by Jordan Roberts, this offbeat comedy blends heartfelt sibling rivalry with absurd humor, exploring the messy bonds of family and the struggle for personal redemption amidst a whirlwind of comedic mishaps.
