Xie Miao, also known by various credited names including Mo Tse, Miu Tse, and Tse Miu, is a celebrated Chinese actor and martial artist who first captured global attention as a child star alongside legendary action icon Jet Li. Born in Beijing, Xie Miao demonstrated exceptional athletic discipline from a young age, winning championship titles in multiple wushu tournaments, a foundation that would define his career in martial arts cinema. He rose to fame in the mid-1990s when he portrayed the son of Jet Li's character in the period action film The New Legend of Shaolin in 1994, followed by a reunion in the modern-day action thriller My Father Is a Hero in 1995. These performances established him as one of the most promising child actors in Hong Kong and Chinese cinema, showcasing a rare blend of martial arts prowess and emotional depth.
