Lorenzo Fernando Lamas, known professionally as Lorenzo Lamas, is an American actor born on January 20, 1958, in Santa Monica, California. The son of Argentine actor Fernando Lamas and American actress Arlene Dahl, he grew up in a family deeply rooted in the entertainment industry. He is widely recognized for his portrayal of Lance Cumson, the irresponsible grandson of Angela Channing, played by Jane Wyman, in the prime-time hit Falcon Crest, a role he inhabited from 1981 to 1990 and which earned him a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Miniseries or Television Film.

Following his success on Falcon Crest, Lamas continued to build a prolific career in television. He starred as Reno Raines in the crime drama series Renegade from 1992 to 1997, a role that cemented his status as a television action star. He later portrayed Dr. Hollywood on the Nickelodeon series Big Time Rush between 2009 and 2013, and appeared as Hector Ramirez in the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful from 2004 to 2006. He also lent his voice to the character Meap on the animated series Phineas and Ferb. In addition to acting, he served as a judge on ABC's Are You Hot? and starred in his own reality show, Leave It to Lamas, which centered on his real-life family.
