Two Door Cinema Club is an Irish rock band that has garnered significant acclaim since their formation in 2007 in Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland. The group consists of Alex Trimble, who serves as the lead vocalist and plays rhythm guitar, beats, and synths; Sam Halliday, the lead guitarist and backing vocalist; and Kevin Baird, who plays bass, synths, and provides backing vocals. Singles like "Sleep Alone" and "Next Year" resonated with audiences and showcased the band's evolving sound, characterized by an upbeat and melodic approach to rock music.
In 2016, Two Door Cinema Club released their third studio album, Gameshow, which featured a more polished sound. The lead single, "Are We Ready? (Wreck)," premiered on Annie Mac's Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1, marking a significant moment in their career. The album included additional singles such as "Bad Decisions" and the title track, "Gameshow," which were well-received by fans and critics alike.
Their fourth album, False Alarm, was released on June 21, 2019, and included the singles "Satellite" and "Talk." The album showcased the band's continued growth and willingness to experiment with their sound. Over the years, Two Door Cinema Club has made a name for themselves on the festival circuit, regularly performing at prominent events such as the Reading and Leeds Festival and Glastonbury, where their energetic live shows have captivated audiences.
