  1. Its name, Tool, though has some versions about its origin, actually means that the band served its fans as a tool through which those people would come to understand lachrymology, a belief that crying is the best emotional release.

  3. The music video of "Schism" was both nominated in the categories of Best Modern Rock Clip of the Year and Best Hard Rock Clip of the Year at Billboard Music Awards in 2001.

  4. Was named Best New Artist at the 1993 Billboard Music Awards while their music video of single "Sober" was selected as the Best Hard Rock/Metal Clip of the Year.

  5. Their second album's title, "�nima", is a combination of the words anima and enema which means the cleansing of the soul.
