In September 2017, The Script released their fifth studio album, "Freedom Child," which included the UK Top 20 single "Rain." This was followed by their sixth album, "Sunsets & Full Moons," released in November 2019, featuring the single "The Last Time." The band's contributions to music have not gone unnoticed, as they have received numerous accolades, including three Meteor Ireland Music Awards and two World Music Awards, as well as Brit Award nominations. They have sold over 20 million albums globally, reflecting their widespread appeal and successful career.

In addition to their musical achievements, Danny O'Donoghue gained further recognition as a coach on The Voice UK, where he was part of the show's first two seasons. However, he later chose to focus more on the band.
