Heather O'Rourke
Heather Michele O'Rourke was an American child actress best remembered for her iconic role as Carol Anne Freeling in the critically acclaimed supernatural horror film Poltergeist (1982). Her portrayal of the young girl caught in a terrifying paranormal ordeal established her as a memorable figure within the horror genre and left a lasting impact on audiences. O'Rourke's performance was central to the film’s success and she reprised this role in the sequels Poltergeist II: The Other Side (1986) and Poltergeist III (1988), with the latter released after her untimely death.
Born on December 27, 1975, Heather O'Rourke began her acting career at a young age, quickly showcasing a natural talent that brought depth and authenticity to her roles. Beyond her film work, she also made significant contributions to television. She appeared in recurring roles such as Heather Pfister on the popular comedy series Happy Days from 1982 to 1983 and portrayed Melanie on the sitcom Webster in 1983. Her ability to transition between film and television underscored her versatility as a young actress. In 1985, she starred as Sarah Brogan in the television movie Surviving: A Family in Crisis, further expanding her range.
Throughout her brief but impactful career, Heather O'Rourke received considerable recognition for her performances.
