Fala Chen, born on February 24, 1982, is a Chinese-American actress and singer who has captivated audiences on both sides of the Pacific, first rising to fame in Hong Kong before making a triumphant transition to Hollywood. Her journey began when she won first runner-up in the Miss Chinese International Pageant 2005, a platform that launched her into the competitive world of Hong Kong show business. Chen quickly made her debut as an actress, but it was her roles in the massively popular drama series Heart of Greed in 2007 and its sequel Moonlight Resonance in 2008 that propelled her to stardom, establishing her as a household name in Asia.
