He first guest starred in soap opera "Home and Away" from 2004 to 2007 as Kim Hyde after unsuccessfully auditioned for the role of Robbie Hunter. In between times, he participated on the fifth season of "Dancing with the Stars Australia" and became the fifth contestant to be eliminated from the show. In 2009, the hunk appeared in big screen film "Star Trek" as George Kirk, a role that led him to subsequent appearances in thriller "A Perfect Getaway" and "Ca$h".

2010 saw Chris' star shone bright in Hollywood showbiz after he starred as the title character in Marvel Studios film "Thor".
