A Day to Remember is an American rock band that has carved a significant niche within the music landscape since their formation in 2003. Known for their unique blend of metalcore and pop-punk, the band has garnered a loyal following and critical acclaim, particularly with the release of their debut album, "And Their Name Was Treason," in 2005. Originating from Ocala, Florida, the band was founded by guitarist Tom Denney and drummer Bobby Scruggs, who aimed to create music that fused heavy guitar riffs with catchy melodies.

In the early years of their career, A Day to Remember quickly made a name for themselves after signing with Indianola Records. Following the release of their debut album, Scruggs was replaced by drummer Alex Shelnutt in 2006, a move that would help solidify the band's lineup. Later that same year, they recorded their second album, "For Those Who Have Heart," which was released under Victory Records. The band then embarked on several tours across the United Kingdom and the United States, performing at various festivals and gaining momentum in the rock scene.

A Day to Remember's third studio album, "Homesick," released in 2009, marked a pivotal moment in their career. The album's success propelled them further into the spotlight, and during the promotional tour, Denney was replaced by Kevin Skaff on guitar. This change did not hinder their growth; instead, the band continued to thrive, releasing "What Separates Me from You" in 2010. However, their relationship with Victory Records soured, leading to a protracted legal battle that began in 2011 regarding their recording contract. Despite this turmoil, the band released "Common Courtesy" in October 2013, which they were able to self-release after gaining the right to do so amid the ongoing lawsuit.

In 2016, A Day to Remember followed up with "Bad Vibrations," further establishing their presence in the modern rock genre. The band's evolution continued with the release of their seventh album, "You're Welcome," on March 5, 2021, which marked their first release under Fueled by Ramen. This album showcased their continued innovation and adaptability in an ever-changing music industry.

As of 2025, A Day to Remember released their latest work, "Big Ole Album Vol. 1," on February 18, further solidifying their status as a force in the rock music scene. The band has been recognized for their contributions to modern pop-punk, with Terry Bezer of Screen Rant referring to them as "the kings of modern pop-punk." With a dedicated fanbase and a legacy of influential music, A Day to Remember continues to thrive and evolve, leaving an indelible mark on the rock genre.
