Ben Stiller Raises $50,000 in Campaign to Build School in Haiti

The charity effort has raised $50,000 and the money will be used to a school constructed in the earthquake-ravaged country.

Funnyman is celebrating after his online charity campaign raised $50,000 to build a school in Haiti. The "" star agreed a deal with bosses at Yahoo, who pledged to give the actor $1 for every Twitter.com user who clicked on an online photo he posted of himself at the Cannes Lions advertising festival in France.

Executives at the Internet company will now hand over a $50,000 cheque for a temporary school to be constructed in the earthquake-ravaged country. In a post on his Twitter account, Stiller writes, "Hey - woke up in Europe to learn we reached our goal of 50 thousand shares - THANK YOU!! Yahoo will build us a school in Haiti."

Earlier this year, all stars ranging from , , , , and teamed up for a remix version of "We Are the World" for Haiti charity effort.
