The former 'This Is Us' star shares a glimpse of her birthday celebration, where her beloved husband 'serenaded' her with a brand new song in honor of her special day.

AceShowbiz - Ahead of her 40th birthday on April 10, Mandy Moore enjoyed an early celebration with family and friends. Her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, serenaded her with a heartfelt song, which brought guests to tears.

However, Moore emphasized that despite the early festivity, her official birthday was still to come. Among those in attendance were Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma, who captured heartwarming moments of the celebration.

Moore, who is now a mother of two, has found a way to balance her personal and professional life. Despite the demanding nature of her work on "This Is Us" and "Dr. Death", she makes a conscious effort to leave work behind once the day is done.

"I feel lucky that I'm pretty adept at not taking home work with me," Moore said. "It was easy to get home and just be present with my family."

Evenings often begin with bedtime for her sons, Gus and Ozzie, followed by quality time with Goldsmith. "We usually just watch something together," she said. "But usually we're too tired for a glass of wine."

Moore spends her downtime planning for the next day, setting up breakfast and lunch, and taking care of her pets. She then unwinds by reading or watching a bit of television before falling asleep.

Motherhood has played a significant role in Moore's personal growth. "My two little dudes make me feel at peace," she said. "Being a protector for my children has made me a better advocate for myself."

Moore's journey to self-advocacy has taken time, but she's grateful for the progress she's made. "I think I've really had fallen into a pattern of just being a people pleaser," she said. "Now I'm much better at it."

Regarding her relationship with Goldsmith, Moore feels deeply loved and supported. "I feel incredibly understood and supported," she said. "I found the right person and I feel like we can handle anything together."

The couple welcomed their first child, Gus, in 2021, followed by their second son, Ozzie, in 2022.
