AceShowbiz - Tori Spelling is keeping positive energy only amid her divorce from Dean McDermott. The "Beverly Hills, 90210" alum shared in a new interview that she's focusing on appropriating time in her life following their split.

"I definitely want to redefine it and take the hard out of it," Tori told PEOPLE when attending the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday, April 1. "And I feel like it's an evolving time and it's the appropriate time in life and shifts happen in life for a reason and you just keep going. You move forward and you do your one thing."

The 50-year-old went on to weigh in on public opinion about the split. "The public has always had something to say about me since I was born. So now I get to tell my own story on my podcast 'misSPELLING'…so I'm very excited," she shared.

On the podcast, Tori will be "telling my story, my version, my whole thing with anything." She added, "Whether it's my books [or] my podcast, I keep it authentic and I always tell it from my side in my perspective and it's my story."

In the debut episode of her podcast, Tori opened up about her divorce from Dean after 18 years of marriage. She revealed Dean broke the divorce news in a voicemail, saying, "I just filed for divorce." She then called him back and had a conversation about the filing.

Tori also talked about struggling with negative thoughts and feelings of not being worthy of love for a long time. "I've never felt more alone," she lamented. "I don't feel worth loving."

She had wished she had ended the marriage sooner, but stayed for the sake of their children. "We always say, 'Hey, it made it 18 years.' It shouldn't have made it 18 years,' " she said.
