As wild conspiracy theories about her well-being and whereabouts are running rampant online, some celebrities contribute to fueling the theories with their speculations on the matter.

AceShowbiz - Before Kate Middleton shared a personal video on Friday, March 22, wild conspiracy theories about her well-being and whereabouts were running rampant online. Some celebrities contributed to fueling the theories with their speculations on the matter.

Some believed that the videos and photos that previously emerged featured a fake Kate, while some others suggested that her MIA had something to do with Prince William's alleged affair. Someone, meanwhile, theorized that Kate might be dead already.

Here are the nine stars who fueled conspiracy theories on the headline-making Kategate.

1. Andy Cohen

Andy Cohen quickly weighed in on the Kategage when a video hit the web reportedly featuring Kate shopping at a local farm stand with husband Prince William. The "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" host appeared to be one of those people who think didn't it was Kate who was in the clip.

Fueling the theory, Andy took to his X account to share his opinion. The Bravo executive producer wrote on the app, which was formerly known as Twitter, on Monday, March 18, "That ain't Kate…."

2. Sara Haines

The Kategate was a hot topic on "The View". The co-hosts had differing opinion on the controversies surrounding the Princess of Wales with Sara Haines thinking that Kate and the Palace needed to take aconvincing move.

In an episode of the daytime talk show, Sara stressed that Kate should come out with a video, which the royal did later. "The frenzy in the media has been dangerous for their family, and they should come out with a video to say, 'Hey, I'm OK.' That's all I need," Sara said at the time.

3. Alyssa Farah Griffin

Fellow "The View" co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin also didn't think that all the photos and videos of Kate prior to her cancer diagnosis were not convincing enough. Just like Sara, Alyssa thought that the Palace needed to do more assurance.

"Not to make it heavy, but we know the treatment around [Princess] Diana. We know what Meghan Markle and Prince Harry went through," she shared. "Now you have a Princess, a Queen in waiting, that hasn't been seen and the stories just don't pan out. She could resolve this, the Palace could, in two minutes by putting her direct to camera."

4. Sunny Hostin

Sunny Hostin, meanwhile, pushed the "body double" theory. In a Tuesday, March 19 episode of "The View", Sunny suggested the conspiracy theory while discussing the video of Kate and William shopping in Windsor.

"That's not [Kate]. That's her body double. You know the royals have body doubles, y'all. I've read it in various places. It's a security issue," Sunny declared. "If you really close in on that video - which I have done, personally, I have done some internet sleuthing myself - it's very clear that the profile is not Kate. And if she really did have that abdominal surgery, why is she carrying that big, heavy bag? Case closed!"

5. Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian faced backlash after weighing in on the Kate drama. Making use of her Instagram account on Saturday, March 16, "The Kardashians" star poked fun at the Duchess of Cambridge who sparked chatter about her whereabouts and well-being.

In a post, the 43-year-old shared some pictures of herself. Alongside the snaps, in which she wore a cropped T-shirt, leather pants and a diamond choker, she wrote in the caption, "On my way to go find Kate," suggesting that Kate was missing. One fumed fan commented, "She's been in hospital and resting at home and this is something to joke about?!!!"

6. Whoopi Goldberg

As for Whoopi Goldberg, "The View" co-host defended Kate amid the wild conspiracy theories. While the other co-hosts discussed the matter, the EGOT winner pointed out, "I did try and explain to you that this is not something they are worried about over in London, they're not worried about it! We're the only ones that do this! They know where she is!"

In a separate video, she slammed her co-hosts for sharing theories about Kate. "It's our fault, because we bought into this," she noted. "When you buy into this stuff, when they start doing it to your family or they start doing it to your kids, it's not cute. It's not fun. It really irritates me. … This is all speculation and we're having fun. Just know that we know that we don't know."

7. Stephen Colbert

Stephen Colbert suggested that Kate's disappearance had something to do with Prince William's rumored affair with Rose Hanbury. In a March 12 episode "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert", the host said, "Internet sleuths are guessing that Kate's absence may be related to her husband, and the future King of England, William, having an affair," adding that his "heart goes out to poor Kate."

"I think we all know who the alleged other woman is, say it with me, The Marchioness of Cholmondeley," he continued. "Now there have been rumors of an affair between William and [Rose] since 2019. According to tabloids, back then, when Kate supposedly confronted him about it, he 'laughed it off, saying there was nothing to it.' Aha, always a good response when your wife accuses you of cheating."

8. Piers Morgan

Piers Morgan talked about Kate in an episode of his show "Uncensored". Suggesting that the Buckingham Palace could be hiding something, the controversial TV personality claimed that he's heard "alarming things" about the Princess of Wales.

In the Thursday, March 14 episode of his show, he said, "I've been told some stuff that, if even half of it is true, it's pretty alarming what is happening." He continued, "I don't know what to believe, nor do any of us - we're not there." The 58-year-old broadcaster, however, clarified that he couldn't confirm if what he had been told was true.

9. John Oliver

John Oliver was probably the one who came out with the wildest theory about Kate. During his appearance in the March 12 episode of "What What Happens Live with Andy Cohen", the "Last Week Tonight With John Oliver" host suggested that Kate might already be dead.

"I was out. I thought, 'Let's all just ignore this we've moved on,' until the photoshop thing. That feels, like, you're almost handling badly in an impressive way at this point," the British comedian said. He further speculated, "There is a non-zero chance she died 18 months ago. They might be Weekend at Bernie's-ing this situation. I'm not saying it happened, but I'm saying it's non-zero until proven otherwise. Until we see her sitting there with a copy of the day's paper."
