The 'One Wish' crooner also admits in a new interview that he hadn't even asked his sister Brandy about the tour, noting that he was simply proposing the project.

AceShowbiz - Ray J has issued an apology to Monica over his recent statement. After publicly pushing the "Angel of Mine" singer to tour with his sister Brandy, the "One Wish" crooner expressed his remorse in an interview with Angela Lee.

"I'ma call Monica soon as we leave here. Listen, Monica, if I said anything wrong, I apologize," Ray J said on "Way Up With Angela Yee". He added, "You are a great artist. You and Brandy have made history together."

Ray also admitted that he hadn't even asked Brandy about the tour. Instead, he was simply proposing the project. "But I respect her. If I did or said anything I'm sorry. It was just all trying to get your attention," Ray reaffirmed.

When Monica had a live session last week, Ray J commented, "Brandy/Monica Tour - please let's make history. He added, "One run for the fans - 100M plus for both of you."

Kim Kardashian's ex later doubled down on the idea during an appearance on "The Breakfast Club". He told the hosts that the artists could make $100 million each, adding, "I mean, of course, Monica would have to open, right? Somebody has to come out first. Brandy ain't having that, either."

Monica wasn't happy with Ray's statements though. Taking to Instagram Story, she declared, "I've been repeatedly contacted about interviews where my name and tour possibilities are being discussed. I've not received any contracts or calls about said tour. Ray J - I'm kindly asking you to stop speaking on me in public! A private conversation would be both necessary and respectful!"

"Brandy is a LEGEND! She's one of one with an extensive catalog that I deeply respect and a voice sent from heaven!" she added. "The conversation being had without she and I is beginning to muddy the waters severely! She and I are both consummate professionals that share a massive recording as well as an entire era!"

Monica went on to note, "Please allow this to remain positive and beautiful! Neither should open, we should give someone else that opportunity and co-headline a massive shared stage if this is to ever happen!" She then concluded, "Any further convo should be private."
