According to former contestant Arie Luyendyk Jr., he was 'barely paid' on the Peacock reality competition show and some of his castmates only received $1,000.

AceShowbiz - Arie Luyendyk Jr. has opened up about his experience on Peacock's reality competition "The Traitors" including his salary and some behind-the-scenes secrets.

In an Instagram Q&A on Sunday, March 17, Luyendyk, 42, shared that he was "barely paid" on the show. He also revealed that some cast members only made $1,000. "Rumored season 2 cast pay was in the triple figures haha," he added.

Luyendyk appeared on the first season of "The Traitors", which featured reality stars and civilians competing for a $250,000 prize. The second season, which recently premiered, has reportedly brought in 75 percent more viewers than season 1.

Luyendyk also shared that the cast members stayed in a hotel, not the castle depicted in the show, and that filming days often lasted between 18 and 20 hours for a total of four weeks.

He claimed that COVID-19 eliminated two cast members, forcing them to reshoot the entire first episode.
