AceShowbiz - Timothee Chalamet, 28, has fully immersed himself in the role of Bob Dylan as filming for the biopic "A Complete Unknown" is officially underway in New York City.
On March 17, Chalamet was spotted filming scenes channeling an 82-year-old Dylan. Dressed in jeans, a brown jacket, and a bulky scarf, he concealed his trademark curls under a newsboy cap. While filming, he carried a guitar case, a small notebook, and a rucksack.
Directed by James Mangold, "A Complete Unknown" follows Dylan's early career, from his arrival in New York with limited funds to his rise as a global sensation. Chalamet will sing in the film, as he previously showcased his vocal talent in "Wonka", the "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" prequel.
Chalamet has been preparing for the role for years, expressing his excitement for the opportunity to delve into Dylan's world. The biopic has also received Dylan's endorsement, with Mangold revealing that he annotated a script for them.
The film's cast includes Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo, Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, Nick Offerman as Alan Lomax, and Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash. Edward Norton will now play Pete Seeger after Benedict Cumberbatch dropped out due to production delays.
