AceShowbiz - Chloe Bailey has been accused of "begging for attention" due to her choice of style at the 2024 GLAAD Media Awards. The one half of musical duo Chloe x Halle was slammed by critics for rocking a "tacky" gown to accept an award for her "gospel movie" titled "Praise This".
On Friday, March 15, the 25-year-old singer/actress took to Instagram to share a series of photos from the 35th annual award show. In the snaps, she highlighted her revealing outfit, which consisted of a figure-hugging long black dress that came with a plunging neckline.
On the backside, the gown had a huge cut-out along her back, exposing her upper back down to her pert derriere. Despite wearing a pair of black thong undies under the dress, her lower back could still be clearly seen.
Along with the photo, Chloe wrote in the caption of the post, "Let's give it up for the back of the dress.. (only right to have a little booty out for the babes @glaad) ..and let's give it up for my image award win last night for praise this, so grateful, thank you so much."
It did not take long for Chloe to be met with criticisms after sharing the snaps. In the comments section of the post, one Instagram user simply wrote, "The back is tacky." In the meantime, another sarcastically asked, "Lol she wore this to accept an award for Praise This??"
Meanwhile, a third criticized, "The fact she wore this dress to receive a image award for a gospel movie is insane. y'all really don't be seeing this or choose to be blind to the bs? I'm just applaud cause I never saw the [sisters] as pick me girls but it's definitely given I'll do what you say as long as the bag is right and that is what people mean when they say you've sold your soul cause you lack morals for dead end currency money is fake therefore y'all trade everlasting life for absolutely nothing."
A fourth added, "This looks screams begging for attention from all the wrong men. But people want what they want I guess. Clearly people can appear to be soft spoken & sweet but want certain attention from certain men. CLEARLY, this outfit does not say I want to be respected. Her body is gorgeous & the dress already is tight enough to show her curves. Showing the thong & butt Crack for easy access.....woah!"
