Shortly after Queen Bey teased her new country singles, the 'Chasing Time' raptress and the 'Blame Yourself' songstress react to the 'Break My Soul' hitmaker's country era.

AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles' shift into country music has garnered mixed responses from fellow artists, including Azealia Banks and K. Michelle. The "Chasing Time" raptress and the "Blame Yourself" songstress shared their opinions on the "Break My Soul" hitmaker launching her new country era.

On Monday, February 12, Azealia made use of Instagram Stories to voice her thoughts on Queen Bey's new country songs while not mentioning the 42-year-old superstar's name directly. The 32-year-old rapper wrote, "Ugh Bianca girl I love you down but them r&b runs over the leslie feist back beats is giving pickmesha. Nothing country about it."

Azealia went on to candidly say, "You're seeing yourself up to be ridiculed again. There's a theatrical element to country music !!! Them critics are not just going to accept an ugly blond wig and , bullying from Jay-Z !!! It's giving big time musical grift. Yes black girls can make country music... but you're just really not hitting the button."

"K. Michelle this is your turn to execute. Its no shade but K. Michelle really understands the assignment," she continued. "Beyonce please stop the madness. The gay baiting, the overtly narcissistic attempts to lazily encroach into a genre *you think* your popularity is gonna gain accolades for you in... You're looking like food sis. You will gag when k Michelle tears it."

In contrast, Michelle publicly declared that she is supporting Queen Bey. The 41-year-old singer stated via X, formerly known as Twitter, "Why would anyone need to check on me. I'm one of the greatest African American country singers of all times with no album even out. Y'all been mentioning me ALL night."

Michelle, whose new stage name is Puddin, further declared, "I'm just happy to be spoke about in my genre. I love Bey and will be supporting her like I always do," adding a slew of red heart emojis. She was replying to a tweet that read, "Has anyone checked on @kmichelle Bey will bring pressure to Country music."

The statements from Azealia and Michelle came shortly after Beyonce broke the news of her new music. During the 2024 Super Bowl on Sunday night, February 11, she announced that a second part of her acclaimed 2022 album "Renaissance" is coming on March 29. She also shared via Instagram a video to tease her new country singles titled "16 CARRIAGES" and "TEXAS HOLD 'EM".
