AceShowbiz - Christina Aguilera has had her devotees come in her defense. After being met with backlash due to her unrecognizable look, the "Genie in a Bottle" singer was defended by a number of social media users, including one who claimed to be one of her "true fans."

The 42-year-old's different appearance was explained by her devotees via TikTok. In the comments section of the star's recent video, one in particular wrote, "She sounds and looks like she did when she first came out. I don't understand why people say this is not her. True fans know." Similarly, another joined in, "If you are OG Christina fan you know this is her. She looks like she traveled back in time."

In the meantime, other TikTok users candidly voiced their thoughts on Christina's look. One of them stated, "I couldn't even recognize that is was Christina! I kept looking like is this someone else with her voice? She looks completely different. wow!" Another asked, "Who is THAT? That is not xtina, she has blue eyes not brown! And the whole thing looks like clone but ok," adding a slew of laughing emojis.

The mixed comments came shortly after Christina uploaded a "#WhatsInMyBag" video. In the clip, she was wearing a long black dress that came with an off-the-shoulder design and two long sleeves. She styled her long blonde hair into loose waves and parted it in the middle. For accessories, she added a huge silver necklace and a pair of earrings. While having a full makeup on her face, she polished her long fingernails into a bright red color.

In the clip, Christina said, "Everyone, it's Christina Aguilera here. I am so excited to be here in Australia, and I'm gonna be going through what's in my bag with menula." She went on to share, "My bag is always like a go-to for any kind of emergency. I'm very sensitive to smell. I always like really yummy aromas and things around me. But you can't pack candles in your bag, so one of my favorite things to have, that's a lifesaver."

The "What a Girl Wants" hitmaker further elaborated, "Sometimes when I'm nauseous or feeling like I'm just around too many smells that I can't control, this little peppermint oil that I love. It literally just soothes and calms and eases your tummy. It's been a lifesaver many times when I needed it."
