AceShowbiz - Tom Hardy may be ending his vigilante days after "Venom 3". As he announced that production on the upcoming film resumed, the actor has hinted that the "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" sequel will be his swan song as Eddie Brock.

In a post shared on his social media page on Friday, November 24, the 46-year-old expressed his gratitude to be back filming the movie. In the post featuring a behind-the-scenes picture with the crew, including writer/director Kelly Marcel and his stunt double Jacob Tomuri, he dubbed the third installment "the last dance."

"V3N0M 3 The Last dance," Hardy began the caption of the black-and-white snap. "thankfully we are back to shooting; and I want to take a moment just to thank all the teams thus far on the ride from V1 to here all our fantastic Cast and crew- good friends and family."

"we've come a long way," the British actor went on sharing, "it's been and continues to be a lot of fun this journey there's always hard turns to burn when we work but doesn't feel as hard when you love what you do and when you know you have great material and the support at all sides, of a great team. surrounded by talented and passionate departments and when surrounded by people you love and care about it doesn't get any better."

He continued gushing about "Venom 3" director Marcel, who also wrote the second movie, "I want to mention very briefly how proud of my Director, writing partner and dear friend Kelly Marcel I am. watching you taking the helm on this one fills me with pride, it is an honour."

"Trust, your gut, your instincts are always spot on. First class - I back you. [one hundred] %. As always. And I absolutely love working with you and watching you take on bigger challenges everytime," the "Mad Max: Fury Road" star added, before pivoting to honor Tomuri as penning, "And to my great friend, face plant chief operator and brother @jaketomuri Jacob you still look f all like me bro. Here's to a great ride!!! #Venom3 #team."

Principal photography on the untitled third "Venom" movie began in late June, but it was halted in mid-July due to the actors' strike. On the same day the strike ended, Sony Pictures announced that the movie was pushed back from July 12, 2024 to November 8, 2024.

Joining Hardy in the cast, Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor have been cast in undisclosed roles, with Tempe's role being described as a lead character. Michelle Williams, who starred in first and second movies, is not expected to return for "Venom 3".
