The 36-year-old actor, who portrays Adonis 'Donnie' Creed in the boxing film franchise, previously teased plans to expand the franchise beyond the third movie.

AceShowbiz - Michael B. Jordan is once again up to tackle the next installment of "Creed". Producer Irwin Winkler confirmed at Deadline's Contenders Film: Los Angeles event that "Creed IV" is in the works and Michael is back to helm the movie.
"We are planning to do Creed IV right now," the 92-year-old first said on stage during a panel discussion on Saturday, November 18. "We have a really good story [and] a really good plot. We got a little delayed because of the strikes, but about a year from now we're going into pre-production."
Irwin went on to divulge that Michel would be returning as a director after his feature-helming debut in "Creed III". Irwin noted, "He will be... He did such a great job - he was comfortable with the camera."
Panelist and producing partner Elizabeth Raposo then chimed in, "[We're] just glad that this one worked and people want to see more."
Michael, who portrays Adonis "Donnie" Creed in the boxing series, previously teased plans to expand the franchise beyond the third film. "For sure," he told IGN earlier this year when asked if fans can expect a fourth film. "I just want to expand the 'Creed'-verse within reason, but definitely expect other things around Creed for sure."
"Creed III" is the first "Rocky" spin-off that doesn't feature original star Sylvester Stallone. However, Michael insisted the "spirit" of Rocky Balboa will be felt throughout the film.
"I think that Sly let it be known that he wasn't coming back for this one but I think, you know, his essence and his spirit… there's always going to be a little bit of Rocky within Adonis," he said last year. "But this is a 'Creed' franchise, and we really want to build this story and this world around [Adonis Creed] moving forward."
