The 'Hold It Against Me' songstress seemingly tries to keep it civil when responding to her mom's denial that she threw away the pop star's doll collection and journals.

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears isn't trying to pick a fight with her family following the release of her memoir "The Woman in Me". The singer has declared that she loves her mother Lynne Spears "so much" despite insinuating that her mom lied about not throwing her dolls.

The 41-year-old star shared her response to her mother's denial in the caption of her recent Instagram post. Seemingly trying to keep it civil, the mother of two wrote, "Ps mom I love you so so much, but there were 3 dolls in the cabinets when I went home 2 years ago ... kinda really weird you would take them out and then put them back in ... so messed up. Nope, I don't want them. Keep it all. I honestly don't care anymore ... honestly though."

Britney Spears responded after her mother Lynne denied throwing her dolls.

In the same post, Britney recalled her first meeting with Taylor Swift. She unleashed throwback pictures with the country-turned-pop superstar songstress, whom she called her "girl crush."

She explained, "This is way back when but kinda cool ... During my Oops Tour, I got a knock at my door. My good friend at the time was the assistant to my manager who was trying to become a manager himself. There was a knock, and then he said, 'I have a girl named Taylor who wants to come in and sing for you.' I was like of course !!!"

"He walks in, and she sings a beautiful song with her guitar. I was like wow wow she's unbelievable !!!" the "Lucky" singer continued. "We took a picture, and she then became the most iconic pop woman of our generation. Kinda cool she plays stadiums, and I prefer her videos over movies any day. She's stunning !!! Girl crush."

Britney claimed in her book "The Woman in Me" that she found out Lynne got rid of her beloved Madame Alexander doll collection and journals when she returned to her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Disputing her daughter's claims, Lynne wrote on Instagram on Thursday, November 9, "I'm not sure who told you I got rid of your dolls and journals but I would never do that! That would be cruel because I know how much they mean to you. They are special to me too because of the years we spent collecting them."

Posting a series of images showing the items, she added, "Of course I still have your things, and I am happy to send them to you if you'd like me to. Please let me know and know how much I love you!"
