The 18-year-old rising basketball star finally returns home after he suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this week during practice at the University of Southern California.

AceShowbiz - LeBron James' son has been discharged from the hospital. Bronny James, who suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this week during practice at the University of Southern California, is expected to continue recovery at home now as he left Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

"Thanks to the swift and effective response by the USC athletics' medical staff, Bronny James was successfully treated for a sudden cardiac arrest," so read a statement shared on the medical center's website on Thursday, July 27. "He arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center fully conscious, neurologically intact and stable. Mr. James was cared for promptly by highly-trained staff and has been discharged home, where he is resting."

It added, "Although his workup will be ongoing, we are hopeful for his continued progress and are encouraged by his response, resilience and his family and community support."

A 911 call was made at 9:26 A.M. Monday from USC's Galen Center as Bronny was unconscious, TMZ reported. Sources told the news outlet that his condition was considered a Code 3, which meant the ambulance had lights and sirens going to signify the seriousness of the emergency.

On Wednesday, TMZ revealed that the 18-year-old was "doing much better." While his parents LeBron and Savannah were still "anxious to know what caused Bronny's heart to stop," the pair seemingly grow "optimistic" as they get enough reassurance from his doctors to tamp down the fear.

A family spokesperson previously issued a statement to TMZ Sports following Bronny's health scare. "Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital," it read. "He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU."

"We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information," the statement continued. It's also said that LeBron and his wife Savannah "wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes."
