AceShowbiz - LeBron James and his wife Savannah James can finally breathe a sigh of relief. According to a new report, their son Bronny James is "doing well" after suffering cardiac arrest earlier this week during a practice at University of Southern California.
TMZ claimed on Wednesday, July 26 that LeBron and Savannah "are calmer" now that the 18-year-old is "doing much better." While they're still "anxious to know what caused Bronny's heart to stop," the pair seemingly grow "optimistic" as they get enough reassurance from his doctors to tamp down the fear.
It should also be noted that Bronny was only in ICU for a short time. However, the news outlet stated that the college student still has to go through more tests to see what triggered the cardiac arrest.
Bronny sparked concern after he was rushed to the hospital due to cardiac arrest. A 911 call was made at 9:26 A.M. Monday from USC's Galen Center as the rising basketball star was unconscious, TMZ reported. Sources told the news outlet that his condition was considered a Code 3, which meant the ambulance had lights and sirens going to signify the seriousness of the emergency.
Following the health scare, a family spokesperson told TMZ Sports in a statement, "Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU."
"We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information," the statement continued. It's also said that LeBron and his wife Savannah "wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes."
While LeBron has yet to publicly address Bronny's condition, the young basketball player's little brother Bryce Maximus made use of his Instagram account to show support to Bronny following his recent health scare.
On Tuesday, Bryce posted on Instagram Stories a picture of the duo standing next to each other. Taken from behind, the photo saw the brothers smiling while looking at a phone screen. The 16-year-old also added a red heart emoji in his post.
