The upcoming HBO Max TV project is described as a 'faithful adaptation' of each of J.K. Rowling's seven 'Harry Potter' novels and it is planned to span a decade.

AceShowbiz - After HBO Max confirmed a TV series adaptation of "Harry Potter" books, fans started to wonder if any of the actors from the original movie will return for the reboot. Daniel Radcliffe, who played the title character in all eight of Warner Bros.' "Harry Potter" films, has revealed if he will appear on the upcoming series.

"My understanding is that they're trying to very much start fresh and I'm sure whoever is making them will want to make their own mark on it and probably not want to have to figure out how to get old Harry to cameo in this somewhere," Daniel stated to ComicBook.com.

He continued, "So I'm definitely not seeking it out in any way. But I do wish them, obviously, all the luck in the world and I'm very excited to have that torch passed. But I don't think it needs me to physically pass it."

The upcoming project is described as a "faithful adaptation" of each of J.K. Rowling's seven "Harry Potter" books as it's planned to span a decade. "Each season will be authentic to the original books and bring Harry Potter and these incredible adventures to new audiences around the world, while the original, classic and beloved films will remain at the core of the franchise and available to watch globally," HBO Max's announcement read at the time.

"We are delighted to give audiences the opportunity to discover Hogwarts in a whole new way," HBO head Casey Bloys added. " 'Harry Potter' is a cultural phenomenon and it is clear there is such an enduring love and thirst for the Wizarding World. In partnership with Warner Bros. Television and J.K. Rowling, this new Max Original series will dive deep into each of the iconic books that fans have continued to enjoy for all of these years."

While Daniel won't return to Wizarding World anytime soon, he will appear on the small screen for season 4 of the anthology series "Miracle Workers". The official logline read, "In a post-apocalyptic future, a wasteland warrior (Daniel Radcliffe) and a ruthless warlord (Geraldine Viswanathan) face the most dystopian nightmare of all: settling down in the suburbs. Together they navigate the existential horrors of married life and small-town living, all under the dubious guidance of a wealthy junk trader (Steve Buscemi)."

"Also starring Jon Bass as the couple's faithful war dog, and Karan Soni as a kill-bot who loves to party. Guest stars this season include, Quinta Brunson ('Abbott Elementary'), Garcelle Beauvais ('The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'), Kyle Mooney ('Saturday Night Live'), Ego Nwodim ('Saturday Night Live'), Lolly Adefope ('Shrill'), Paul F. Tompkins ('HouseBroken') and Lisa Loeb ('Robot Chicken')."
