The 'See You Again' hitmaker speaks up after a concertgoer threw a bracelet that hit Kelsea in the eye during her concert at Outlaw Field in Boise, Idaho on Wednesday, June 28.

AceShowbiz - Charlie Puth has weighed in on the recent incident at Kelsea Ballerini's show. Taking to his social media account, the "See You Again" hitmaker urged people to stop throwing objects at musicians onstage.

This trend of throwing things at performers while they are on stage must come to an end. ([Bebe Rexha], [Ava Max], AND NOW Kelsea Ballerini…) It's so disrespectful and very dangerous," the 31-year-old wrote on Twitter and Instagram Story on Thursday, June 29. "Please just enjoy the music I beg of you."

Charlie's post came one day after a concertgoer threw a bracelet that hit Kelsea in the eye during her concert at Outlaw Field in Boise, Idaho. In a video surfacing online, Kelsea was performing "If You Go Down (I'm Going Down Too)" when she looked startled before touching her left eye and stepping back from the microphone. After her violinist later walked over to check on her, the songstress ultimately handed her guitar to a stagehand and exited the stage.

Kelsea later returned to the stage to address the incident. "Can we talk about what just happened? All I care about is keeping everyone safe, so if you ever don't feel safe, please let someone around you know. There's security everywhere tonight," she said at the time. "Don't throw things, you know! I just always want shows of mine - every show, for every artist - but I'm in control of this one. I just want it to be a safe place for everyone. … Can you help me do that tonight?"

The country artist also addressed the ordeal on her Instagram page. "hi. i'm fine. someone threw a bracelet, it hit me in the eye, and it more so just scared me than hurt me," she explained. "we all have triggers and layers of fears way deeper than what is shown, and that's why i walked offstage to calm down and make sure myself, band and crew, and the crowd all felt safe to continue."

"That's all i ever want, is for shows to feel like a safe place for us all," she further noted. "i love you and appreciate all of the concern, lets make the last two shoes of the heartfirst tour the best yet."
