The couple is showered with congratulatory messages from their friends after the 'Dancing with the Stars' pro offers a glimpse of his and his wife's newborn baby via social media.

AceShowbiz - This year's Father's Day is extra special for Maksim Chmerkovskiy. The "Dancing with the Stars" pro and his wife Peta Murgatroyd received the biggest gift a parent could ask for as they welcomed their second child together on Sunday, June 18.

The Ukrainian-born star quickly took to social media to share the good news. Offering a glimpse of the newborn, he posted on Instagram a picture of him holding the baby, but blurred the face, as he smiled and stared at the new bundle of joy.

"Happy Father's Day to me!" Maksim simply captioned the snap. He added the hashtag "MadeInPeta" in a nod to his wife Peta, whom he also tagged in the image.

In the comments section, the couple received congratulatory messages from their friends. Fellow "DWTS" pro Emma Slater wrote, "OMG YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!! On Father's Day!!!!" with several heart emojis. Amanda Kloots also weighed, "Wow what a day! What a gift!"

Several hours prior, Maksim had teased that their baby would arrive soon as he posted a video and photo of him accompanying Peta in the hospital. "It's go time!" he wrote in the caption of the post. "Made it to LA from Napa in record time! Curtesy of (about to be thrice) grandpa Sasha ;)."

Peta Murgatroyd's IG Story

Maksim Chmerkovskiy filmed his wife Peta Murgatroyd in the hospital before welcoming their second child.

He went on singing praise for his wife, "@petamurgatroyd is the fantastic unicorn that she is and I can't wait for another one of her best creations! She is an absolutely amazing boy mom and about to birth another lucky man into this world." The now-father of two added, "Wish us luck. Happy tears. I can't wait."

Maksim and Peta's second child, whose name and gender have not been revealed, joins the couple's firstborn, 6-year-old son Shai. Maksim revealed last month how their son was taking the news that he's going to be a big brother.

"He knew the story kept being that mommy has an egg, and then the egg broke. So finally, at this point, to tell him this egg didn't break, it's a very big moment for him and for us, seeing that baby come," he told PEOPLE. "Now there's kicking, the stomach is moving. Watching my 6-year-old taking in that moment is also very special."
